HelloFresh has set up a data management system with the Dynamic Packaging Configuration, automating the relevant data for assembling transport boxes to customers and making these available for the packing process. This has enabled them to switch from a static to a dynamic system and thus adjust the packaging consumption according to the different menu items in each case. The DPC algorithm calculates the ideal packaging size depending on the individual customer order including the route and weather data to ensure proper cooling. This leads to less packaging material used, optimises the logistics and packaging process and demonstrates to the customer that HelloFresh also takes a responsible approach to material resources.
