What the jury said:

The Design for Recycling approach is at the forefront of this submission. Cartridges for silicones are usually made of plastic. However, since silicone product residues have up to now impeded sorting and prevented material recycling, this new cartridge has been developed from tin. The tin used is the new bluemint® steel, which saves up to 69% CO2 emissions in production through the use of biomethane. In terms of recycling rate, steel packaging is the leader in a European comparison: 85.5% of tin packaging is recycled over again and not even silicone product residues will prevent material recycling of the tin cartridge in the future.
