Plastic cartridges that are not completely empty currently cause considerable contamination in the recycling stream. In future, these cartridges will be able to be separated by marking the cartridges with UV screen printing inks, which are detected by the sorting system’s NIR scanner. The special benefit of the solution is a low integration effort at the sorting plant and the already optimised UV ink with marking.
