What the jury said:
Aldi has consistently implemented sustainable plastic packaging by networking the entire value chain. On the one hand, the PP packaging has a 92% certified PCR content and is itself 100% recyclable. On the other hand, there is no need for the material to be elaborately coloured to identify the product variant; this is ensured by the adapted label design. So the box is now in grey – typical for PCR. Overall, the introduction of this new packaging will save approx. 29 tonnes of new PP material per year.
