The packaging solution previously used for contents such as pumps and filter cartridges has been significantly improved here with a sustainable alternative. In the process, the fixing pad, which previously consisted of a PE foam, was substituted by an intelligent corrugated cardboard blank, which absorbs shock in a similar way to a shock absorber and is always reversible due to spring action. A further benefit is the space-saving packed size during transport up to the packaging at the place of use. The jury was impressed by this outstanding solution’s overall concept of a single-material solution made of 100% recycled material, combined with its functionality, while at the same time significantly saving costs and reducing CO2 emissions.
