Dirk Bansemer

Dirk Bansemer is the first Managing Director of the Euro Plant Tray GmbH, Monheim am Rhein, which was founded in June 2023. EPT GmbH is the operational unit of the European industry initiative Euro Plant Tray eG, Berlin, to establish an industry standard for plant transport in Europe. He was a founding member of Euro Plant Tray eG in August 2022 and a member of the Board of Directors until June 2023, as well as an active participant in the Flower tray preliminary project. After studying business administration at the University of Cologne, where he graduated with the degree Dipl.-Kaufmann, he worked in various management positions, from sales and concept development to procurement / category management in retail and wholesale. He has been with OBI, Wermelskirchen, since 1998, most recently as Director for Inidirect Procurement and Circular Economy and was responsible for teams in various European countries. Now 58 years old, he lives with his wife and two sons between Cologne and Düsseldorf.
