Review 2021
The Hall of Fame of top packaging innovations has just been extended with 15 new outstanding solutions.
The Gold Awards were announced on 28 September 2021 at the FACHPACK trade fair. The German Packaging Award is advertised internationally and the independent jury honour particularly ground-breaking innovations from among the winners with Gold Awards.
Out of the total 15 Gold Awards announced, four were conferred in the Sustainability category. In addition to these, there were two awards each in the Functionality & Convenience and New Material categories as well as one each for Digitalization, Design & Processing, Logistics & Material Flow, Packaging Machinery, Presentation of Goods and Economic Efficiency. The jury also decided to make a special Gold Award in the Young Talents category.
The announcement and conferment of the Gold Award trophies coincided with the presentation of a certificate to the winners of the German Packaging Award 2021 at a special industry event – which was also broadcast online – on the first day of the FACHPACK trade fair in Nuremberg.
