Welcome to the Dieter Berndt Award. Dieter Berndt – university professor, sponsor and patron of talented young people, provider of impetus and inspiration, and founder of the dvi – played a vital role in shaping the German packaging industry. The Dieter Berndt Award continues his intellectual legacy by providing a platform for the innovations and ideas of outstanding personalities.
The award is presented to eminent players from business and society in recognition of their successful, innovative and sustainable commitment to packaging and the packaging industry as well as to youth development.
Professor Klaus Töpfer was winner of the first award in 2015, and in 2017 Professor Claus Hipp was honoured by the dvi for his lifetime achievement.
