What the jury said

The overall concept and the clear focus on sustainability in several aspects were the really impressive things about this submission.

The innovation offers a refill system for deodorant spray cans that allows the can to be reused around 5 times, reducing waste and at the same time contributing to brand loyalty. The packaging and functional system are also sustainable.

The spray can itself is made from 100% recycled material, with 50% of the aluminium coming from the plastic recycling bin. The inner coating is BPA-free, thus already fulfilling future regulation and customer requirements.

However, the sustainability concept is also ground breaking, including the propellant, which is compressed air rather than the usual propane/butane mixture. This also reduces greenhouse gas emissions in its use.

All in all, a well-rounded, sustainable overall concept.
