Jury evaluation:
A conventional combination of thermoformed plastic blister and sealed aluminium foil was substituted by a paper-based solution in this award-winning submission for tablet-shaped products such as food supplements. A paper with particularly good stretching properties was used for the cavity as well as a special barrier and sealing layer. The jurors were impressed by the sustainability and good functionality of the packaging material solution made of mono-material, which should also appeal to the health- and environmentally-conscious customer in terms of feel and appearance.
