Diese Verpackungslösung von Mondi vereint Dekarbonisierung, Design for Recycling und wirtschaftliche Effizienz entlang der Wertschöpfungskette. Sie erfüllt PPWR-Anforderungen und bietet Vorteile bei kleineren Losgrößen und hoher Variantenvielfalt, was die Jury zur Auszeichnung bewog.
Die Lösung verlagert das Verpackungsdesign ans Ende der Wertschöpfungskette: Die Kennzeichnung erfolgt per Lasermarkierung direkt im Converting statt durch Druck. Dadurch entfallen Druckfarben, Formen und energieintensive Prozesse, Rüstaufwände sinken und Varianten lassen sich flexibel umsetzen. In Kombination mit recyclingfähigen Monomaterialstrukturen wie dem StripPouch verbessert dies die Kreislauffähigkeit. Eine PIA (Product Impact Assessment) zeigt über 50% CO₂-Reduktion gegenüber laminierten, bedruckten PE-Pouches.

What the jury said:
This packaging solution from Mondi combines decarbonisation, design for recycling and economic efficiency throughout the value chain. It meets PPWR standards and offers benefits for smaller batch sizes and a wide range of variants, which is what persuaded the jury to select it for the award.
The solution shifts the packaging design to the end of the value chain. Labelling is carried out by laser marking directly during the converting process rather than by printing. This eliminates the need for printing inks, plates and energy-intensive processes, reduces set-up costs and allows flexibility where there are variants. In combination with recyclable monomaterial structures such as the StripPouch, this improves recyclability. A product impact assessment (PIA) shows a CO₂ reduction of over 50% compared with laminated, printed PE pouches.
