Mondi’s re/cycle CompressionWrap ist eine papierbasierte Verpackungslösung, die Kunststoffverpackungen für komprimierte Matratzen mit Papier als recyclingfähiges, faserbasiertes Material ersetzt. Die Lösung besteht aus zwei funktionalen Papierlagen: Eine hochfeste Innenlage mit dünner Barrierebeschichtung (Verhältnis 95/5) sorgt dafür, dass die Matratze vakuumdicht und formstabil verpackt werden kann, wodurch viel Transportvolumen eingespart werden kann, eine zweite äußere Lage bietet Schutz gegen mechanische Einflüsse. Die Verpackungslösung ist so konzipiert, dass sie sich in bestehende Produktionsanlagen integrieren lässt.

Mondi’s re/cycle CompressWrap is a paper-based packaging solution that replaces plastic packaging for compressed mattresses with paper as a recyclable, fibre-based material. The solution consists of two functional paper layers: a high-strength inner layer with a thin barrier coating (ratio 95/5) ensures that the mattress can be packed vacuum-tightly and retain its shape, which saves a lot of transport volume, while a second outer layer provides protection against mechanical influences. The packaging solution is designed so that it can be integrated into existing production systems.
