Das Universalpolster der Mondi Ansbach GmbH ist eine innovative Verpackungslösung für Metallkomponenten (für Sitzbank-Systeme) in der Kategorie Logistik und Materialfluss. Es ist multi-variabel und verfügt über verschiedene Stanzungen, die mit Buchstaben und Zahlen versehen sind. Diese ermöglichen es, je nach Produktversion unterschiedliche Buchstabenkombinationen „zu drücken“, wodurch ein optimaler Halt für die jeweilige Metallkomponente gewährleistet wird. Die geschickte Anordnung der Aussparungen erlaubt es, durch Eindrücken und Kombination verschiedener Positionen unterschiedliche Geometrien zu falten, was eine Vielzahl an Verpackungsmaterialien ersetzt. Durch diese Eigenschaften reduziert das Polster die Komplexität im Verpackungsprozess. Es ist zu 100% recyclebar, mehrfach verwendbar und erfordert kein Verkleben. Aus diesem Grund konnte dieser „One fits all“-Ansatz die Jury überzeugen und wird mit einem Verpackungspreis gewürdigt.

The universal padding from Mondi Ansbach GmbH is an innovative packaging solution for metal components (for bench systems) in the Logistics and Material Flow category. It is multi-variable and has various punched out areas with letters and numbers. These make it possible to “press closed” different letter combinations depending on the product version, ensuring an optimum hold for the respective metal component. The clever arrangement of the recesses allows different geometric shapes to be created by pressing in and combining different positions, replacing a large number of packaging materials. The padding reduces the complexity of the packaging process thanks to these properties. It is 100% recyclable, reusable and does not require any gluing. This “one fits all” approach convinced the jury for this reason and was rewarded with a Packaging Award.
